That's what I'm wondering. We're going to have to change something on how we coach fundamentals. Offensive line and WRs look like they need some new life to teach them how to get better.

Watch the next game. They are coaching the f out of fundamentals. 7th start for qb, 6th for new offense. We won. Defense rose up and not many enjoy those types of games, but that's how it was back in the day. Defense wins Championships. The offense will get it going. The whole time we were winning Championships and making it look easy in some games to the point it was expected..
Swinney said over and over again winning isnt easy.

Great! That all sounds good.
FYI, we struggled to beat the Weak Florests, at home. Ga Tech went to Winston-Salem and stomped the Weak Florests into the mud. It was only close at the start of the game.
While our Tigers were relieved to catch the onside kick and for Mapha to run for a 1st down.
Our D played so badly in the 1st quarter that the Weak Florests had the ball for about 12 minutes. Thank goodness our D did stop them from scoring. But, because our D was poor, our O was always starting in very poor field positions, and (hence) a limited playback.
Woodaz had 2 tackles for loss, by circling the WF OL and tackling the RB at the slow mesh. Then NoGoodWin took him out. Go figure?
Sadly, the schedule gets much worse from here. We may not be favored to win any of the following games; perhaps at State.
We certainly won't be favored by 22, only to survive 17-12.

Certainly your opinion and prerogative to call posters pathetic so I'm sure you've heard the phrase: "Ifs and buts were candy and nuts..."
So, since Dabo et al is now using that as our standard, wake was 1 play from beating us. Syracuse was 3 plays from beating us. So we beat Duke and fsu but lose to cuse and wake. 4-2 either way.

It seems odd that some/many of you thought Clemson would be a top four - playoff team for 20 straight years as long as Dabo was HC given that no other coach in the history of football has been able accomplish that feat.

I feel sure that our HC knows that he made some mistakes with coaching hires the past few years, and I believe that he will begin correcting those mistakes at the end of this season. Surely he can see that our 4-5 star players are being out coached with 2-3 star players, he will make the changes needed to get us back. I believed in him when he was hired as our HC, and I still believe in him as our HC. He tried something new that just didn't work, and he realizes it by now I'm sure!!!

This is facts. The message should be that “we’re not good enough and we need to work harder.” And not “we were good enough we just got unlucky. On a few plays” I’m actually really surprised this kind of talk coming from Dabo. I always thought he was very grounded. What I saw Saturday was a very mediocre team that squeaked by a pretty mediocre Wake team at home. This team looks nothing like the teams we put on the field from 2011 - 2020.

Okay, i knew that but all these guys make too much and are bazillionaires to me.
The bar is high, no doubt, who says Clemson is out of the Nattyverse? What’s the time line? It’s not happening this year, but to say the program is done for good, thats just BS.. time will tell
It’s just unrealistic to hit it every year…….
I do think that being there twice, to the top, and taking a team to that many CFPs, that’s worth more than any program, like Texas, FSU, etc that haven’t gotten there…
Michigan is great, everyone discussing it, how many do they have?
Too much what have you done for me lately versus long term sustained success focus….. ill take Dabo and Clemson to get back to the top any day

Only Alabama has been to more playoffs than Clemson,7-6. And Dabo has won 9 ACC Championships. He has been very consistent and no other coach other than Saban has a better track record during Dabo’s time as HC.
