Jennings apparently started yelling at CU fan in the stands

Nov 23, 2012, 10:40 AM

last night. Profanity laced tantrum toward a lady who was cheering for the Tigers. Witnesses in the stands said they didn't hear the woman say anything out of the ordinary.

* This is not from me, but is being reported by CU fans that attended the game.

If Im Brownell he sits today. No need for that. Your having a bad night. Don't EVER talk to anyone in the stands.

is "we too deep" now called a profanity laced tirade?

I'm not buying this without some proof

When Milt came off the court, after fouling out, he walked

Nov 23, 2012, 12:02 PM

down the bench towards his seat and once getting to his seat, he turned around and was wiping his face off and was eyeballing the skinny girl with big red poofy hair that was cheering alot, probably stared at her for about 7 seconds before mouthing,"What the F**K you got to say now?" and then turned around and sat down with whoever was sitting next to him, maybe Smith, I can't remember telling him to chill out. He didn't yell it, but it was audible from where I was at 6 rows or 7 rows back. The girl gave him the "talk to the phone" hand and that was about it. I didn't see them have any interaction after that because the game ended about 3 or 4 minutes later. I can see how people on the either far end of the bench, like managers, and more importantly, Coach Brownell, never saw it or heard it.

Sounds like a player mad about fouling out and losing and an interaction with a family member/friend.

I'd rather know he cares and is upset about his play and a loss than laughing and joking on the bench after fouling out in a loss.

Probably not the best way to handle things, but I won't jump to conclusions without more information.

True, Country Gentleman. I said last night in a post about

Nov 23, 2012, 12:18 PM

this the girl was sitting with a group of others, one with a K.J. McDaniels letterman's type jacket on, and the group gave a huge cheer to KJ when he was introduced in player line ups...obviously some sort of connection to the team, and possibly Milt, too. Who knows...just reporting what I saw and I know for that last minute of the game everyone's eyes were darting back and forth between her and Milt to see if something else was going to happen or trying to figure out what was up. It got weird for a moment and then the game was over.

Saw the whole thing. Seems like there is something more with the fan because she didn't say anything that bad to him. He did use a profanity to the crowd, which is not the way he should handle that in front of coach and player families. That being said, if you can't stand the heat get out of the kitchen.

He was dropping F* bombs at the lady

Nov 23, 2012, 2:06 PM

I was sitting 2 rows in front of the lady that called him out for getting beat on defense. He started dropping F* bombs right in front of my 6 year old. Even after a few minutes he kept looking back and giving dirty looks at the woman.

Thanks. Reporting info from secondary and tertiary sources is what makes this board a bastion of critical expertise.

Here's a clue: After last season's antics, I suspect Milton is on a "short leash" with the coaching staff anyhow. To my knowledge ONE PERSON has mentioned this particular escapade on this board. If Coach Brownell deemed it unseemly, I strongly believe he'd have done something immediately.....then, on the other hand, maybe Coach Brownell HEARD what was said to Milton and didn't blame him for his response.

I mean, look at the moronic posts re:Jennings on this board after nearly every loss. You don't think it possible some supposed CU fan made a similar comment up in the stands????????

To explain to you a little clearer one more time, Tigerjm.

Maybe the reason Brownlee didn't do anything about it is because he never was aware it happened. Milt didn't scream it at the woman or even what I would call yell it. He mouthed it, but it was audible, while Brownlee was on the other end of the bench coaching. I would be inclined to agree with you that Brownlee just blew it off because of what the woman was saying if I actually heard the woman saying anything remotely derogatory or discouraging. I was sitting there the whole game, didn't move except at halftime, 20 ft. from her, and frankly, she was one of about 3 or 4 Tiger fans that made real noise in that section a majority of the game. Most people were fairly reserved, so quiet, you were going to hear ANYTHING remotely out of line towards a player and when we would go to timeouts she would yell out words of encouragment like,"We believe in you Tigers" and stuff like that. I'm still inclined to believe Milt personally knows the girl in some way. Allright, I'm done.
