is a pretty common condiment in the south I’d say. To me, there is only one brand - Heinz. I don’t use it a lot myself, not that I don’t like it, but because it’s got a lot of sugar in it. I use it in some of my recipes like spaghetti sauce, bologna sandwiches and salads, but I recently realized the price has gone up to 10 dollars for the large bottle. Any recommendations and if you say Del Monte I will TD you after I gouge out your eyes.

All my BiLos sold out and turned into Lowes foods. Their “store” brand is Heinz with their own label. A lot of their “store” brand is just relabeled name brand stuff.

Was raised on Hunts. Transitioned to Heinz once I was old enough to buy my own.
There used to be a smoky-tasting ketchup. Or maybe it was hickory flavored. Don't remember what it was. I did not care for it.

I like Heinz but don't eat enough to matter. I learned my lesson buying the Sam's Club 3 pack after 2 got so old and out of date they changed to some dark brown color. I can go without ketchup if needed. I can't believe how much mayo has gone up too.

...putting on anything you wish to enjoy. Now if the whole neighborhood gang shows up for your backyard bbq, or the "other" half of the family comes to the July 4th cookout, I recommend Great Value brand from Wally World. Maybe they won't come next time.

Might be 10 dollars tomorrow the way everything has went up. All good meats have tripled in cost from 2 years ago, every-time I go to the grocery store I’m a little shocked by the prices. Potatoes going up like crazy during season is crazy too.

make. Take yer self 4 or 5 maters from the yard. Stickem in berlin’ water for a minute to git the skins off. Then chop’em up and throw’em in a sauce pan with a little vinegar and water (or I use pickle brine cuz I make those too) and let’em sit til they cook down. Add salt and a little brown sugar to knock the acid off to where you like it. When it’s good , blend that shid up and put it in the fridge. Been doin it as long as I’ve had a garden.

so we always manage to have one or two bottles in the hole. There is no other ketchup that comes close. Cocktail sauce gets the lions share of use and any other brand is a non-starter, so got to be ready when that fresh shrimp rolls in.
