Help: Am I a Republican or Democrat?

I am trying to choose sides but have never given two snits about politics. What am I?
I am a black man. I live in Tennessee. I married a Mexican woman. We are still together. We have three kids. I do not own a gun because my wife prefers I not. I am not religious. I am anti-social. I came from a poor home with only a mother. I work very hard to pay for a comfortable life for my family. I believe 95% of Americans are lazy, if not more. I do not give homeless people money because I feel they’re not trying hard enough. I have my own family to care for. I believe the world is overpopulated. I think disability and welfare is too easy to get. I think there should be a required intelligence level to bare and raise children. When I see a resume with a “foreign” sounding name, I get excited. I think both Trump and Biden are unfit for office. The country needs leadership, not a character. I do not think all lives matter, barely some lives matter. I believe we should listen to our scientists. I took the vaccine but no booster. I masked up out of respect for others.
What am I?

You are yourself, don't look to others for a label, they will give you the wrong label and they will criticize you no matter what you believe. The only rules for life: love God, love yourself and love your friends and family. Nothing else matters.

According to Joe Biden and basically the entire Democrat party you could have stopped after the first sentence. You are black so you must vote Democrat. None of the rest of it matters. Now go vote Democrat no matter what they do and enjoy the results!

You are easily triggered.

If you have a problem with the statement take it up with the people who think that way, not the people who merely point it out. Or is that too difficult for someone of such a limited intellect?

You want to paint both African-Americans and Democrats with a single brush. You seem incapable of acknowledging nuance within a party's membership. It seems as if you are doing exactly what you accuse others of doing.

you want to "bare" children. I think you can go to jail for that.
Having said that, it's my opinion that people who either support or oppose every single position of any one political party or candidate, or see everything primarily through a political/ideological lens, are lazy, simple minded, and are letting other people do their thinking for them.

^^This.
Too bad we have quite a few on this site, (on both sides) who are lazy and simple minded.
I think the majority of people in the U.S. have a mixture of views just like the op.

They say "Brandon" a lot, too.
Good comment.

They say "Brandon" a lot, too.
Or "MAGA". But some who have eagerly, in the most blindly partisan way possible, swallowed the whole load, can't see that.

That's not to say I agree with all of what you posted. I'm just saying you don't have to choose. Nothing wrong with being an Independent. Full party alignment has become destructive.

From what I read: - you believe in individual responsibility --> conservative - not judging a person (wife) based on skin color --> conservative - working hard & too many are too lazy --> conservative - believes a family is important --> conservative - parents need to be smarter about raising kids --> conservative - world overpopulated - a fact - masking up --> not believing what Fauci told you --> thinking for yourself --> conservative
Not sure about resume with foreign names comment unless you are suggesting if they are foreign they might work harder.
Overall - result seems pretty clear.
Was that a legit post?

One thing is for sure … you are NOT one of the sheep.
The true (labelled as conservative) person typically votes Republican more out of deep disgust and fear of the predominant Democrat policy platform.
The so-labelled conservative person will use the election primary process to evict incumbents of ‘their’ political party who do not support most of the values to which you ascribe. In other words, true conservatives will bear the risk of having their preferred political candidate losing in the general election rather than voting for whom the ‘thought leaders’ classify as electable.
So-labelled conservatives do not consider themselves to be superior to other people simply because of where they grew up or because their parent(s) are exemplary people. The so-labelled conservative acquires her / his sense of self based on accomplishments and merit.
The so-labelled conservative is neither necessarily religious nor necessarily atheistic. Open mindedness, but also circumspect before embracing ‘new beliefs,’ is a typical characteristic.
‘Conservatives’ believe that providing monetary assistance to people who are capable of working is harmful for the recipient of the money; such ‘gifts’ enable otherwise capable people from learning that acquiring the discipline to postpone short term gratification in order to achieve longer term goals. Between undeserved flattery and financial enablement, it is hard to conceive of other non-violent acts which are so corrosive to degrade a person’s path to a fulfilling life. I never give money to the homeless, but will buy an extra bottle of water and a sandwich if they profess to be hungry.
Guns … as long as you can protect your family (you know the neighborhood environment in which you live), then do what you ‘be got to do.
Disability and welfare … refer to ‘Conservatives / providing monetary assistance’ above.
Lazy Americans … IMO 95% is too high of percentage. Not able to comment whether or not such a sentiment is Republican or Democrat.
Intelligence level to bear & raise children … IMO that would be more of a Democrat preference, with the Democrat being given the authority to ascertain what constitutes ‘intelligence level.’ More so than intelligence, parents need to possess the passion to be active in their raising of children and to work hard to provide and care for their children. Dispensing of tough love, when needed, requires a deep caring for their child’s development more so than the parent’s intelligence. The parent does not need to be a genius to know that the school teachers should not be encouraging their child to let him / her self be diddled by other kids or adults.
Mexican wife … I’m a bit biased because I’ve got two pretty hot women colleagues who come from Mexico. Pretty sure that both Dems and Republican regard (many of) the senoritas highly.
Foreign name … this doesn’t make any ‘thrill run up my leg’ … I know some Democrats that reported that sensation when the name Obama was spoken. Maybe that’s a Democrat characteristic.
Listen to scientists? Yes. Categorically accept what they have to say as being truth? Nope. You will observe more Republicans following this approach than Democrats. Democrats are more likely to listen only to the scientists which are ‘vetted’ by the Democrat party. They are typically disinterested in the information provided by ‘not-vetted-by-the-Democrat-party’ scientists.
I admire your vax approach and ‘mask up’ courtesies. Neither Democrats or Republicans can be consistently counted on to do as you do.
Please run for President !
