Picked her up yesterday from the shelter. She is definitely malnourished and scared. You can tell she was abused but we are slowly trying to get her back to normal. Showing her love and spoiling her like she deserves.

Good for you and Sadie!!
You can tell so much about a person by how they treat children, the elderly and animals. Whenever I see someone mistreating any of the above, I have to say something. One day it may get me in trouble, but I can't help it.
How anyone could mistreat that pup is simply beyond me.
Here's to a long and happy life for Sadie and that she soon forgets her tormentors.

that he chewed through. He has made an awesome dog. Vet's best guess is Dachshund, Beagle, and a dash of Pekingese.
Him, too, is a good boy.

I am not against purchasing pure bred dogs whatsoever, but there is something about adopting that just makes sense to me.

Where did you get her? What do they charge? Also, is it hard leaving if you don't see the right dog you want? I would feel terrible ditching all of the dogs in there.

Orange County Animal Services.
They had free adoption through last Friday. Normally they charge but it was free through a special they are having. The adoption fee is usually $55 which includes basic health shots.
It is very hard to not walk out with every dog they have. I wanted to adopt at least 25 dogs last week. Hard to walk away from some. However, going forward we will only adopt whenever we get a new family member.
