to improve on from last season:
1 - get the ball out quicker
2 - eliminate panicky plays and throws
3- eliminate bad turnovers
Clemson can win with him.

He isn't a generational talent like we got used to with Dijon and Trevor, but he isn't bad, if we have other pieces in place.
That said, not sure we'll beat UGHEY - our defense will be up to the task, but if we face the usual defense that they bring, not sure of the outcome. (qualifier - uncle Belton taught me to be a glass half empty guy when it comes to Clemson sports).

I think Cade is good enough to win the ACC. I don’t think he’s good enough to win us the natty.

However, history has shown (just last year) that you don’t need a special QB to win a national title. Our post season success will depend more on how our O-line, and DE’s develop than our quarterback.

Everything in the OP is true about Cade and what he needs to improve on.

However none of those are his biggest weakness which is his happy feet.

Cade has got to learn to drop back and get on his spot and set his feet. Literally you see his feet moving before he ever hits his drop spot and you see this a ton.

He has to settle down and that starts with his feet. When his feet start to settle on his drop backs then the other 3 things the OP mentioned will all fall into place.

It’s a domino affect and it all starts with his feet planted firmly and allow the play to develop.

Now of course none of that matters if the OL can’t protect him which is the main cause of Cades happy feet. It all goes hand in hand fellas.
