You totally missed it with Syracuse.
I would say that you just believed in the hype being thrown from the north to the south and did not think for a moment to evaluate the talent level on the teams. Just saying this to help you for future considerations.

Doubt it. She continues to bad-mouth us on her blog. Says we are going to overlook BC....meaning yes, she will put us on upset alert.
She'll never learn.

It isn't because Heather has an issue with us. We are in a 14 team conference and it is impossible for UVA, UNC, NC State, Wake Forest, Duke, Syracuse, and BC to even be upset because they are terrible. Since she has to pick 3-4 games for the column every week, we will fall into it by process of elimination.

Maybe she's playing the reverse psychology affect so she don't jinx us. Who knows, as long as we keep winning she can put us on upset alert every week for all I care.

She's been writing about the ACC for years now. While her colleagues get to write about Oregon, Alabama, LSU, etc, she has been forced to write about the always-mediocre ACC.
I think Heather is rooting for us now because finally she has a few good teams to write about in Clemson, FSU, and possibly Miami. Her job in the upset alert is to put teams with a CHANCE of losing a game to a lesser opponent on her list. By putting us #4, she said she highly doubted it would happen, but that Syracuse has upset other teams in recent years and it could be a trap-game for the Tigers. She wasn't PREDICTING Syracuse to beat us.
Since last year, I have barely seen her say anything negative about Clemson. If you think her putting us on Upset Alert is a big deal, then you should find something else to complain about. It's the woman's job for christ sake.

If you call an 'upset alert' every week, and you get it right ONCE, does that make you a genius???? Wow - I'm going to start doing that with all the other teams.
Every team is on upset alert!! You heard it from the genius here first. Just think - half of those guesses are going to be correct. Exactly what is 1/2 of a genius? Maybe a half-wit?
