and when and what not to. And when he did play lead, it was usually somewhat understated, but still full of emotion and just what the song needed. The truth is, Moon and Entwistle were playing lead most of the time.

Also, the entire album was a favorite of the band members and rock critics...but not so much by the general public. Slip Kid and Squeeze Box charted, but the beauty of The Who By Numbers was everything else on the record. Definitely a vastly underrated record as a whole, in my indisputable opinion.
