is displeased enough after watching the Clemson women's team lose a huge lead at Syracuse today,enough that if it continues the rest of the season where Amanda Butler can't get it turned around that he'll pull the plug on her at seasons end.Enough is enough is enough,just please the next hire please let it be male head coach because 4 female head coaches since Jim Davis,it has been a complete failure

Because if it was that Jim Davis had an arguably successful and long tenure as Clemson’s women’s basketball coach, you might be right.
If it’s “men are better at coaching women’s basketball”, that might be a tougher sell.

Hopefully Graham Neff wants to see a winning program in women's Basketball at Clemson right now,enough to where it won't come close to 14 seasons for Amanda Butler as she is in season #6

Hire the best coach available. The gender doesn’t matter. If AD’s looked at it thoroughly they could see that majority are men are coaching prior to college - travel ball - rec leagues and high schools. It’s ok. Look at Coastal-hire him.

Did your mother approve your post? Most successful women's basketball teams have females as coaches so there is no validity to your idea.

Fans at Sourh Carolina and LSU would probably disagree with you. Dawn Staley and Kim Mulkey seem to be pretty good coaches!

I agree,Yes they are,so why has it been so hard for Clemson AD's to land a winning female coach like Dawn and Kim?If it can be done at South Carolina then it can done at Clemson to,just got have the want to to do it.

So why hasn't Clemson been able to attract a head coach the caliber of Pat Summit instead of the likes of Cristy McKinney,Itoro Umoh-Coleman,Audra Smith and Amanda Butler.Hate to bring Itoro Umoh-Coleman's name up since she was a great player and was a part of 4 really good teams under Jim Davis but she wasn't ready at the time to be head coach at a major university.

She's got the 5* top 10 recruit coming this year. Every program in the country wants her. She'll be good to team up with ruby. We'll see.
As for Horry, I share his pain. I was devastated. I love coach but watching the game, I felt like it was mismanaged. As in timeouts that could have been used. I'm sure she's rolling it in her head all night. She's recruiting good.
One example, and I h8 calling a players name. Ott was supposed to be lights out rankings wise. 3 years, and she's still not able to get minutes. So, could be a number of things... point being she hasn't developed. So, do we have a developmental problem. Idk. But thank you for posting Horry.

Good morning Judge. I'll address everyone in the response. Cut Horry a break. He's not a sexist. Just as you are, he's salt of the earth and a huge Tigers fan.
Try to understand his point of view. He'd be tickled pink if we hired the late great pat summit. Fwiw, it didn't offend me one bit. We all remember the Davis days. He's simply saying, we've tried X, and X ain't working, so maybe try Y to see if that'd work. Either way, try something... because what we've been doing isn't working.

It has nothing to do with male or female... just hire the best coach. Annie Tribble was a great coach at Clemson in the 70's and 80's.

Agree hire the best but all I am saying is try something different.It's worked great at Louisville and Virginia Tech having a successful men's head coach,especially Louisville and see how good Jim Davis was in his 18 seasons.Look I want to see Amanda Butler do really good,I don't hate the women she's done better than the last 3 but it just seems to me that no matter how good she might be or has been recruiting here lately,her teams always seem to find ways to lose games more times than not and yesterday at Syracuse was indicative of that.Leading just about the whole ball game from the opening tip to 4 minutes and some change left in the game.Had a 17 point lead and they never entirely looked comfortable with it,turnovers,missed open shots under the basket and the defense giving up wide-open shots.Jusy hoping like crazy coach Butler and her girls can get it turned around here soon.It's season 6,winning needs to be taking place a whole lot more than losing.
