Clemson University student found dead at a 7-Eleven, Pickens County coroner says
Few details have been released about the death of a Clemson freshman from earlier this week.


Terrible story here. The students got the notice today. Lots of them knew him from their freshman classes and dorms.

Who knows for sure, but if I was going to guess is that he somehow was poisoned with fentanyl and he didn't realize it was in whatever he took.

So I’m personally semi close to this story. My son lives two doors down from their dorm. He told me earlier in the week the cops were on his floor looking for a kid, and his roommate had said he hasn’t seen him. So they were just asking around for info.

Then it came out yesterday that they found his body at the 7/11. The university sent out an email notification to the student body. Cause of death is still unknown, and obviously wild theories about cause it’s college kids who all hear 2nd 3rd 4th hand info from someone who knows.

Still sad all around. My son has been checking on the kids roommate who’s still in the dorms for now.

not going to repeat any, but there are several (and contradictory) stories circulating

and you're exactly right - some of my wife's students said they have heard several different wild theories around campus
