How come brad does not use full court pressure?

The only time he does is when time is running out and the game is pretty much out of reach. I was taught to pressure your opponent full court all game….and we did. By the way my high school coach was an assistant at Clemson in the 70’s.
Just another reason I want to see a coaching change. I don’t agree with many of Brad’s coaching philosophies. Here is my list of some of the things we do I don’t like.
Seldom use full court pressure Refuse to foul to prevent a 3 point shot with time winding down We perform pick and roll backasswards Our cutters don’t know how to properly to use a screen to get open. Letting PJ jack up 3’d all game.
My opinion of brad is he is a Baffoon when it comes to basketball. He will never get 5 star players to come here. He loses ALL the top high school recruits in our own state. They go to duke, Tennessee or where ever else that better coaches reside.

Great response. Watch the players 3 minutes into the game and again at the 15 minute TV timeout. They are already gassed. I heard a lot of them had been sick and not able to practice, so that might account for it.

BB doesn’t know how to coach anything other than man to man. And now that college basketball has become a three point game he has lost his edge there. We are ranked near to the bottom of college basketball in 3 point defense. Not to mention, how many times have we been down in games in the last couple of minutes (like last night) and we really don’t even pressure in the front court, and just let them use the entire shot clock. How many times have you seen us allow the opponent to roll the ball to half court! Not understanding the importance of switching defenses in today’s game is just mind boggling. That is just the defensive issues. Nevermind not going inside when we are not hitting threes. These deficiencies are inexcusable.

Playing man to man defense isnt the problem

The problem is not being in good enough shape or tough enough to play it well. I remember many, many years ago my HS coach grabbing me by the jersey in practice one day when he thought I was not going all out on defense and screaming right in my face “ If you’re gonna play for me, you gotta play good defense. And if you want to play good defense, you’ve gotta be the meanest S O B on the court!” So I wiped his spit off my face and proceeded to be the meanest and toughest S O B on the court and became the best defensive player on the team. The only player we have on this team that is close to that physical and mental toughness is Schieffelin.

And man to man pressure with jump traps is a great way to apply pressure.

All game long? Like Purnell?

Like when our entire team was gassed the entire latter part of the season from playing such a grinding style all season?
You’ll get no Brownell defense from me, but full court press all game long ain’t the solution.

after the domers crossed into the front court and ran 20 seconds off the clock.
And getting tired causes defensive lapses and bad shots.
You clearly have a very low basketball IQ. I suggest you study all the posts on here by The Cult - they will make you really smart.
In fact - all the “tired” info above is nearly verbatim from that esteemed group of Clownell apologists.

Tigernet just being Tigernet.
Spouting and spewing, ranting and raving.
To me the absolute true issues against Coach BB and Clemson coaching staff from Notre Dame game: A) Allowed way ay too many 3 pointers attempted (28) when obviously Team could not make them B) Should have reined in PJ Hall's three point shooting right away C) Should have recognized to start the game and during first half that Clemson would have immense advantage in the paint D) Did not have an effective answer for ND's adjustments E) Did not adjust to impact and affect the opponent. Seemed to only react vs impact.
That is how the should be judged. As there are no excuses to hide that responsibility.
