and was 74 before my first "great" arrived. Now, have a second, born the last of September, both girls and both doing fine.

Her daughter made her a grandmother at 32 and our mother and her mother were still living. That's 5 generations and Nan, our GM was ~75.
Such is Tennessee but at least all the kids were not calling their uncles, daddy. That may be more phenomenal than 5 generations in 75 years. Tennessee and all.

I'm sure you would like to know the sex of that beautiful Great grandchild. But I understand from the new gender police that you will have to wait until the child enters kindergarten before the sex is determined.

Good for you! I'm 62 and my first grandchild is due in May. I'll be late 80's if I'm lucky enough for a great, and that's my plan.

Congrats. I'll be 73 in about 7 weeks. I became a GGF 12 years ago. Still don't believe it until I realize I FEEL like a GFF. Youngest is 3, oldest is 12. 😁

I'm 71 and I have 2 greats. Magnolia is 1 year old and Luke is 3 months old. We have 15 grandkids of which most are in their 20's and 30's so we expect an explosion of great grandchildren any time now.

I don't celebrate my birthday so I add a year to my age on New Year's Day.
Nevertheless, I really appreciate you all for celebrating, if only a bit, with me. Strange, I have 7 children, 14 grandkids and one on the way and of course Tim my first GGchild. Among all 22 of them he is only the second of the lot I think is cute.
I reckon the less of my genes involved, the cuter the baby.

Congrats! I am 63 and have 4. Keeps me young! I was 50 with the 1st one. I have the younger 2 living with us after a bad divorce. But it is all good. The younger one will be in school next year. Now we have 2 grand pups. Lets just say we are not just sitting around on Tigernet all day!

Congratulations! I started late as well. My first son wasn’t born until I was almost thirty! My first grand didn’t come until I was almost fifty-one. That puts me on pace for around 67-72 to become a great-grandfather. If I am around that long.
