Sammy in the backfield

Oct 21, 2012, 5:37 PM

I know he needs touches but is it wise to run him up the middle with the potential punishment he could get from 300lb linemen and head-hunting LB's. He's not built for that.

Sammy weighs 205lbs.and nothing but muscle and
raw bone.I believe he can take a few snaps and
do just fine.

so he isn't taking huge hits. Besides Oregon runs DeStephone Anthony who is 170 pounds, up the middle all the time. And Watkins weighs about 10 pounds more than Andre Ellington.

Let me explain. He's not built for that means he's not accustomed to that. Those guys are running backs who know what to expect and how to protect themselves. Do you send them across the middle on quick slants even though they can catch?

He's built for college fb and he can take a lick.
You talk like rec's are whimps.Let the coaches decide
who can do what, when ,where and how many times and
you just keep cheering.
