I live in the Columbia area. I spent most of the day back and forth between my work shop and outside. It drizzled off and on most of the afternoon. I did get wet but not drenched doing what I set out to do.
I came in around 5 and asked the wife what was the latest on the storm. She flipped the TV to one of the local commie stations. Guess what they had a reporter in a neighborhood reporting on the conditions. The camera was panned in on the curb showing a rivulet of water about 3 inches wide and maybe 1 inch deep. Then they zoomed across the street into a back yard that had a little water standing in it. She exclaimed this is pre flood conditions. To top it all they then showed a dude riding in a car describing that he would continue to report on conditions.
Folks this our country today, over exaggerate, and lie all to promote a cause.

Weather Channel is the worst for that crap. Quit watching years ago when they were live broadcasting standing in street like it was hurricane force winds and flooding and two dudes walked in front of camera in water barely an inch deep and not a sign of wind. Such drama and acting is more than I can take. I get a detailed weather report from the State of SC anytime we have bad weather in the forecast and it is very accurate and no hype.

I refuse to watch when they name winter storms trying to make them sensational.

Glad it's mild there. I did see a clip of a car in Goose Creek that got thrown around by a tornado (or so they presume). Thankfully they walked away from the accident but their car was trashed

I pull a 48’ skateboard all over America. I run west coast and back routinely. I’m in the LA area on a very regular basis. Last week (?) I got into the San Fernando valley a day or two after Hurricane Hillary made landfall.
I know the guys who would unload and reload me. I asked them how they enjoyed their first hurricane. They each just rolled their eyes. They told me the news reports had everyone running for cover and then there was just a little bit of rain.
I saw those weather reports myself. They showed images of what was allegedly the LA River overflowing. I’m pretty familiar with LA, I didn’t even know they had a river. Apparently it’s a dry gulch that hasn’t flowed in 80 years. Actually there’s lots of dry gulches and old washes everywhere in LA and San Bernardino county.
I explained to those guys that the weather channel needs to make money too. They need eyeballs glued to their network round the clock and they aren’t about to let even the slimmest prospect of a life threatening natural disaster go to waste. …..Even though it isn’t.

The Los Angeles River runs every year. Tons of it is made of concrete and is man made. Anyway, it flows just about every month, but just not as much. It used to flood more often, but it's rare now.

Weather Channel first appeared with comments, "Can you imagine sitting behind a desk on live TV all day with the same monotony: 'It's gonna be sunny everywhere all day!'"
Further, those people wet themselves over big storms, going into supercharged modes. And the overkill begins. I suppose it's like watching clothes dry unless the dryer catches fire! lol

Global warming and climate change bs. 15 years ago the polar ice caps were melting and would be completely gone in 15 years. Guess what they are just the same 15 years later. Wake up people and stop being so gullible.

I remember in the late 79s, the MSW was screaming that the next Ice Age was coming in the 1990s. They are so full of crap. Too many idiots believe them.

The best one is several years ago, Jim Cantori was standing in a narrow breezeway between two tall hotels. He looked like he was getting blowed away. He was fighting to stand up. In background, two old ladies just strolling down boardwalk in the. Gentle breeze. Weather reporting is fake as WWE.

Just like the Biden interview on the TWC during the storm … first thing that comes out of his mouth is climate change , are we really becoming that stupid as a country… seriously I’m not judging anyone for their political beliefs or who you choose to vote for but come on! Yea I forgot that hurricanes Just and the most deadly hurricanes are not in the last few years i can promise you… like just talk about what you are gonna do to help the ppl in need in Florida, up the coast, and Hawaii… it’s not hard but we choose to further divide ppl and push an agenda that has no merit.

Insurance companies in FL do not think that climate change is a hoax. The same people who think that climate change is a hoax believed that COVID was a hoax. Over one million Americans died from it & it's still around 'cause some people won't get the shot. Earth 1 to Earth 2.
