He has prototypical size, he played injured most of the year, and he's coming off a stellar game against Oklahoma. If Logan Thomas can get drafted based purely on size (it sure wasn't how he played in college), then Cole has a great shot too.

Cole is more of a pro style QB, and they will take the style/type offense that he played in college. And he will get a good look from the pros bc of his injuries and type O he played in college.

on our D this past year that a player as good as Tony is somehow getting over-looked. I don't believe that'll be the case after the combine workouts. If memory serves me correctly, when we signed Steward and Anthony, I believe Tony was the #1 LB recruit and Anthony was #2 in the nation. Obviously, Anthony had a fantastic career at Clemson, but had Steward stayed healthy his entire time at CU, who knows what kind of #'s he'd have put up. Steward certainly had a great senior season, and has talent for day's. I think he'll rise up draft boards after his combine workouts. He's quick, strong, and has definitely been well coached since the arrival of CBV. As for Cole, I have a hard time seeing him as an NFL QB. I hope I'm wrong, and I'm sure Sooner fans would say differently; but inconsistencies would be a huge red flag for me as a GM for an NFL franchise. For example, you look at the GT game and that's hard to put out of your mind. You can't judge a player off of a poor performance in one game, but if they did, I hope they watch our bowl game for Stoudt 's hopes of playing at the next level. He is the absolute personification of a team player, which I hope helps him. Regardless, I hope every CU Tiger goes out and crushes it at the next level. However, I'm still not sure why Pinion decided to go early. He can certainly kick the poo out of a football, but he seemed to lack some consistency as well. He would either kick it through the back of the end zone, or the return man would catch it at the 10 (+/- a couple yards) yard line with a legitimate chance of a decent return. Luckily our punt coverage team was great this year with Boulware usually leading the way. Pinion does get plenty of air on his punts, which I always thought to be his strong suit (except needing to work on his "flop" after being run into. He could call rat face up at Duke and become an expert in no time. Then again, at 6'6" 230+ lbs, it's hard to get knocked down without it looking fake.)
GO TIGERS!

I think Cole Stoudt has a great chance of making a career in the NFL. Obviously he was very inconsistent in college but he showed at times he had a good arm and good accuracy. He did very well in the GA game and he did well against Oklahoma. I believe his injuries were a little more serious and was thrown into action because of our lack of depth at QB. If you paid any attention to the games he played in, it was very obvious at times that he was in a lot of pain but battled through it like a champ. I believe under the right system and coaching, he will follow the same role as his dad and make a career as a backup in the NFL. He has prototypical size for a QB. If he has a good pro day, i think at least one NFL team will give him a shot to see what he can do and they may be all he needs, a chance to show that he can be consistent and can play in the league.
