I can't stand that Pat McAfee on Gameday show.

Sure wish they would put someone on there with more knowledge, more talking points instead of a loud mouth. Wish David Pollack was full-time on Gameday but ESpin using him to bolster their SEC Gameday. Marty Smith would be good option too but again SEC gets him. There is nothing that excites me about McAfee, rather watch mumbling Corso than that weirdly dressed Metro!

If Pat would have been slowly introduced, I think it wouldn't be so jarring to have him on GameDay.
Personally, I think he is fine in doses but exhausting to watch or listen to for more than a few minutes at a time.
I enjoy the clips from his podcast but sitting through his shows are...not my cup of tea.
He certainly adds some energy but would be easier to to embrace if he was worked in slowly with segments throughout GameDay instead of being like a full time co-host the entire show.

He was slowly introduced. He began making guest appearances on Gameday starting in 2019.

Haha, I only watched more than 25min of any gameplay this year except for when they had Clemson, then I only watched 1.5hrs. I usually try to catch the last 15-20 where they pick teams and brief breakdowns. I have watched less this year than the last 20yrs. Used to get up eat breakfast and be excited to start watching at 10am. Definitely haven't started the 9am routine ever and list interest as they slotted worse hosts.

college football. But has markedly declined over the years. Same can be said for about all of ESPN's programming in my opinion.

It's not informing because all you see is what they want you to see, highlights which are usually from games where the opponents are unusually mismatched. That leads to false assumption, which is their downfall. Not that they make false assumptions but that they assume to deceive the viewer. That makes gameday uninforming.
What's left if you neither learn nor are entertained?
