So, in order to get a Notre Dame ticket...

...I need to purchase the "All In" Package, which includes a ticket to all 7 home games, is non-renewable, and costs $395.00.
Well, that's an interesting way to maximize revenue. I hope it works for them, but it's just too much work to buy 7 tickets to get the 1 (or 2 or 3) game(s) you really want, and try to sell Wofford and App State and Wake and recoup some dough.
The price for the other packages (4 games, or 3, or 2) don't include Notre Dame, and prices aren't listed.
Hey, I can't blame them. I'm sure they'll sell a bunch.
Just found it interesting.

This poster is right on the money. A lot of ND fans will buy the season package, just to make sure they get tickets to the ND game.

Yeah, when I had PITT season tickets the ND fans would but season tickets just for the PITT/ND game and then sell the remaining tickets online. The football office knows this will be a highly sought after ticket.

Are these seats the corners of the upper decks that will likely not be filled for games like Wofford and App State? If so, didn't we have a deal with stubhub in years passed for those tickets?Do we not have that deal anymore?

I guess the AD figures they can "scalp" the ND tickets in such a way to not have to bother with discounting those seats...they will put up with a percentage of empties to keep ITPAY members from selling ordered ND tix.

buying up the extra ND tix and selling them. I had already been offered over $300 per seat for mine during LAST football season. I will NOT be giving mine up...but my wife and daughter might...if I let them.
My issue with that is that these type games are the reason you buy season tickets...to experience the big games.

Remarks like this are why it's usually pretty useless to attempt to have an intelligent discussion on T-net...the snark is just too thick.
Again, just find it interesting that in order to get a Notre Dame ticket, I have to buy a package which is MORE expensive than my normal season ticket and is non-renewable.
I would have thought that they would have packaged ND tix with Wofford/App State. As it is, it's pretty non-affordable.

They'll probably package FSU and/or GT tix with Wofford/App State

rent a porta potty and open up a little tent city for visitors. Heck, I'll throw in breakfast.
Honest truth, if I'm in an apt., I would definitely sub-lease it for the weekend and live in a tent.

IPTAY members will get a crack at single game tickets in the middle of June. There might be some ND tickets available then.

That's actually a good deal. You'd pay at least $250 for my extras, and I wouldn't throw in additional games. The ND tickets were $85 each for single game purchase. FSU was $80.
Not sure I'll actually be selling any, but if I do I'll certainly look to recoup some of the non-deductible portion of my donation.

Another idea is to donate the unwanted tickets to a charity - auction items at a golf outing, for example. Give them to a client, etc. A tax deduction could ease the pain a bit. If you're super tight, deduct the cost of the tickets from your normal charitable contributions and you're ahead. Good luck.
