We don't have the hype. We don't have the expectation.


Everyone looks at us and says "they're young".

Venables is new. People say ChadMo's offense will be figured out. Pundits don't give us a chance v. FSU.

This is EXACTLY the type of scenario for an unexpected showing.

Clemson will climb that mountain.

The coach has the character, the foresight, and the intuition. The players are building themselves up as a team, as much as individuals. The assistants are all top notch tacticians. The fan base is Huuuuuungry, but realistically patient.

The talent is here.

The coaches are ready.

The fans are anxiously awaiting with tempered enthusiasm.

The powder keg is ready to explode.

The prognosticators can kiss my ars.

THIS is Clemson's year. This one. The next one. Maybe the one after that.

I like the fact that we aren't looked at with favor. These guys weren't last year either and look at how great they did when faced with that.
