The big elephant in the room of CFB right now is revenue sharing with players.

I don't understand what all the hand wringing by everyone except players is all about.

Can we not all agree that the billions produced by college football is produced by the players? It's a simple concept. Therefore common sense should tell us that those producing the billions should get their fair share.

So, what is so difficult about figuring out what the fair share amount is, and how it will be distributed to the players?

Do it and move on to that other money sharing elelephant in the room. Conference loot shared with teams. Here again, pretty simple. The conferences with the best teams get most of the loot. The best teams in the conference get most of the conference loot. Best is the standard.

Simple made difficult by not using common sense and trying to make conferences into socialism where everyone gets an equal share.

There are teams in every conference who contribute nothing of value to the conference, yet they get an equal share. Why?

The UVA AD and Coach Tony Elliott took the initiative to deal with NIL by getting the Va. legislature to pass a law prohibiting the NCAA from taking any action against Virginia schools for being directly involved in NIL payments.

I would like to see the ACC coaches take the lead and call for all ACC teams to set aside a certain % of their FB generated revenue to be paid to FB players, same for other sports. Whatever revenue, if any, generated by each sport gets a share to be given to players.

I know I am dreaming if I think the ACC is going to take the lead on snything.

And while I'm at it, when the CFP 12 team playoff is implemented it should be a simple concept to take the top 12 ranked teams in the country. No set asides for any conference and no conference champion games so no conference champions getting auto bids. Just the top 12 teams. Number 1 plays #12, etc.

Figure out a objective ranking system with as little human bias as possible. If humans are involved, pick no one connected to college FB, sports media, or schools. Try to come up with a formula that you plug in info and it spits out the top 12 teams. With AI, it should be possible. Get Microsoft to figure it out.
