I hate to talk about something non-controversial here but

A long time ago, I opened a hostel in Medellin called Tiger Paw. I went on TigerNet and asked people to help me come up with names, and Tiger Paw was born.
Tiger Paw was a great name, and everything was Clemson themed inside. The paw was super cool to have everywhere and got a lot of compliments from travelers who knew about Clemson.
Anyway, I am opening a BnB with a restaurant right on the ocean in Puerto Colombia, Colombia.
My question is, should I also name this Tiger Paw or come up with a more beach-themed name?
Thanks for the input!

since you seem to be dallying more in the Atlantic than the Pacific right now...
Congrats on opening the business in Colombia. I spent a little time there myself and while they still have their share of problems, I have the utmost respect for how the Colombians pulled themselves back from the abyss caused by the drug cartels back in the '80s/'90s. Overall I found the Colombian people to be overwhelmingly warm and friendly. The good people way outnumbered the bad but if you had the misfortune of running into a "bad" Colombian - they were really bad... like scary gonna kill you bad.
Maybe you could call your new BnB - The Tiger's Den or the The Clemson House (since that doesn't exist in Clemson anymore)...

You're right about Colombia. I got here in 2006, and things really turned around from then on. You don't get the really bad Colombians where I am. The worst problem in our little barrio is corruption. If you don't bribe people, getting permits for anything is hard. It's annoying!
I like your names but looking for a beachier name than Clemson. If you're ever on the Colombian coast again please let me know!

FWIW, and that ain't much, I like the Spanish-language options that include Clemson or Tigers. Most 'mericans traveling to Col could figure out the connection.

Are you catering more to Gringos or Colombians visiting the coast? My wife is Ecuadorian and we are down the coast in San Clemente, Ecuador, at least at the moment. There is a lot of back and forth to Sandy Springs. Anyhow, here most of our tourism is from Ecuadorians visiting the coast. Don't know if it makes a difference in what language you go with.

I think you're right - the language doesn't matter so much. In Medellin, it was 95% ex-pat, but I am not sure here in Puerto Colombia. We are going to open a couple of rooms for a trial run soon and find out!
