Is facial hair out for baseball now that Monte is gone?

Just wondering since Bakich is a ‘Leggett guy’
When I played years ago at small school, we were allowed mustache only.

I heard he made them cut their hair so would assume no facial hair

May can earn the chance to grow it but not sure. He is all about making team “earn” it. Locked them out of locker room and told them they had to earn it back at start of Fall practice

It’s all about the fundamentals.
If you don’t care to take the time to groom yourself, wear your jersey properly, tie your cleats correctly, sharpen your spikes regularly, then how are you gonna be able to let me teach you how to grip a bat, look at the defenses’s positioning while at the plate, learn situational hitting, always make contact with the ball, use two hands when fielding, etc, etc.
And please, stop adjusting yourself after every pitch. I’m not speaking about the hitter only. And does the catcher need to get a sign from the dugout every time!

Bakich talks about a merit based program. They weren’t even allowed into the locker room in the spring until certain goals were reached. Couldn’t wear their uniforms etc.. I suspect facial hair may be another thing that has to be earned if allowed at all.
