Sorry Herbie, but thats a lazy drive by take

…yes it’s true we don’t have the WR guys like we used to, but this OL is a sieve and I guess you have to watch more than clips to see that.

It's a completely accurate take.

It’s not. Because it’s just a part of the issue. If cad had the time in the pocket that Hartman had today we would see a lot more production from the WRs

Yes it is. If Klubnik had more time in the pocket, the receivers would be more productive, but only up to a point. For Notre Dame, you saw some plays where Hartman had time initially, but ended up getting sacked because nobody got open and he had to hold the ball.

Without explosive receivers you still won't have explosive plays. Clemson has never had a good line under Dabo. The reason we won in the past is because of out talent at receiver and quarterback.

Sure but playmakers never get a chance if balls are getting batted in the backfield because of the collapsing pocket.

Also, we’ve had MUCH better OLs in the past. We have guys in the NFL.

Having playmakers stretches the defense so they can't send as much pressure on the quarterback. Plus they can't load up against the run either.

If some of our previous offensive lines had these receivers, they would look as bad.

These analyst make a lot of money to point out things

2 words that is lacking: Coaching - Development

Can't tell me that all these upper 4*s are complete misses. They come in and play better their freshman year than they do their JR year or before they transfer.

They aren't misses. They are just all complementary players, not playmakers. It's not that the missed o the recruits.

I LIKE HERBIE BUT NOT AN ADEQUATE ASSESSMENT

Nov 4, 2023, 4:44 PM

Actually - I think we DO have solid receivers. Collins, Williams, Brown, Randall, Turner, Stellato, Briningstool are all good….

HOWEVER,

1) We can’t keep half of them on the field the past 3 years

2) We don’t have multiple deep threats… except Turner and maybe Williams but see #1

3). We need our OL to give pass-pro that allows Cade to go through his progressions

Lastly, I don’t understand HERBIE citing Artavis Scott as the benchmark from the past - what ?!?

ALL THAT SAID - I’M EXCITED ABOUT NEXT YEAR ON OFFENSE….BECAUSE I THINK WE DO HAVE GOOD RECEIVERS AND CADE IS STEADILY IMPROVING.

Go Tigers !!!

Artavis Scott is better than any of the current receivers.

With these receivers the Tigers will be lucky to win 14 games next year!
