I don't see it for 2017.
Could go 8-4 to 11-1.
A lot depends on one position.

Biggest tests are at UL, at NC State and home against FSU can go either way. NC State scares me more than VT and I really don't know why

I bet Gallman will not even play that game after what Doorknob did last year.

came within a couple of feet of beating us last year with Watson at QB in the Valley.
FSU is our toughest game. Followed by at Lamar Jackson. at NC St and Auburn will not be easy.

Louisville is played out plus they lose a ton . That one trick pony will not work next season. They will have had much better teams the first 2 times we played them than next year.

If Bama's defense could carry their team the way they did in 2016 why can't ours do the same in 2017? And we'll have a better offense this year than they did in 2016 IMHO

expectations are at least 10 wins this season. I could see us dropping a couple, it all comes down to QB play, whoever it ends up being (so yes I echo your comments)

With the talent coming off the shelf, the freshman talent coming in that will be able to give us 2nd team playing time, I can see us with a 10-11 win season, but every game will depend I believe mostly on the QB. With our starters and 2nd team playing down to the lesser teams that we play, it don't give us any room for getting our back up QB's any meaningful playing time experience. And that is a major concern that coaches should addressed sternly in fall camp.

Sept. 2 KENT STATE Obviously, Clemson will be heavily favored. I see the offense starting out a little slow simply because of new pieces at the skill positions, but by games end, Clemson wins 45-13
Sept. 9 AUBURN Auburn returns 8 starters on both sides of the ball and will come in ready to avenge last year's loss. Not gonna happen. Auburn just isn't that good on offense and Clemson's offense will get better game by game for sure. Clemson takes it in the end, Clemson 24-10.
Sept. 16 at Louisville Blah blah blah Lamar Jackson. Blah blah blah. Yes, he won the Heisman. UL returns 5 starters on offense and 6 starters on defense, including all of the skills players LJ had to support him. UL will be looking to stop Clemson but it isn't going to happen. Clemson wins 31-24.
Sept. 23 BOSTON COLLEGE BC returns 15 starters and is coming off a bowl win. Oh well. Towles was a decent QB, but he is gone, and the offense simply isn't that good. Four games into the season, the Clemson offense is getting better. Clemson wins 34-13
Sept. 30 at Virginia Tech VT WOULD have been a tough out, but Evans decided to go pro. They lose 3 of 4 starting DL. They lose two WRs, two OL, their QB and Sam Rogers. QB will be an issue for them. Their defense is still pretty good. Clemson wins 27-14.
Oct. 7 WAKE FOREST Wake Forest is Wake Forest. They return 9 guys on offense, but not that good on offense. Brings back 5 starters on defense. Gonna be ugly. Clemson 41-16.
Oct. 13 at Syracuse (Fri.) Syracuse is the trap game in my opinion. Their offense brings back 9 starters, and their defense brings everyone back. Now, Clemson demolished them for sure, but their QB got hurt early. Clemson still out talents them at every position, so I figure it could be close for a little while. Clemson 42-24.
Oct. 21 OPEN
Oct. 28 GEORGIA TECH GT brings back 16 starters. However, they are losing their field general in Thomas and their best DL. This offense always gives us trouble, but they are going to have a problem filling Thomas' shoes. Clemson wins 38-24.
Nov. 4 at NC State This will be another tough game for the Tigers for sure. State brings back 15-16 starters, but replacing Dayes is going to be a tough job. This game should NOT have been as close as it was last year simply due to the OC's continuing with their hesitancy to run Deshaun. This game is going to be close. Clemson wins 27-20.
Nov. 11 FLORIDA STATE Ahhhhh, FSU. How well will they replace Cook and 4 other starters. FSU's defense returns 9 starters and is going to be good again. This one will come to the wire but hard to beat Clemson at home. Clemson 23-21. Nov. 18 THE CITADEL Citadel, this isn't usuck. Clemson wins 55-17. Nov. 25 at South Carolina usuck, this isn't Citadel. The talent difference is getting bigger every year. Clemson 52-17.
SO there, yes, you can say orange glasses, but Clemson has lost TWO games in the last 30. It just isn't easy to beat Clemson these days.

But even the great teams have a hard time going undefeated. Like Clemson this year or Alabama last year.
With a new starting QB, too much is unknown for me.

Our defense will more than likely be able to neutralize any offense we play this year. Bryant/Cooper/Johnson, one of them will step up on the spring and run this offense.

I can't see us winning less than 10 games next year with a defense that has a good chance to be the best we've seen. Obviously big question mark at QB and TE but I think we're very talented as well and have a chance to be better at the qb position than most people think.

I predicted 15-0 last season as well and I was very happy with 14-1 and a National Championship.
This year our defense is loaded and we have more depth in more positions than last year and our talent is a step up with guys hitting power hour and maturing. The QB position will be weaker but our OL will be better. I feel like we have recruited very well at QB and I believe we will be surprised how well our QB coach has done with these guys.
My prediction is we will make it back to the playoffs with one loss. It's going to be tough going from there but I trust Dabo and crew with a team that's been there the last two years because Clemson is the best at winning big ball games!
I predict we win the second National Championship in a row and really shock the world and give Satan a heart attack.(I meant Saban)
Go Tigers the champions!
