I see our chances of going to the SEC or Big 10 are slipping

Here me out. The one thing we had to enter into the Big 10 or SEC was winning in football. That is what branded Clemson outside of the SC and GA.

The bottom line is we are a relatively small school compared to the Big 10 and most SEC. We are in a relatively small TV market. We are in a small state. People watched Clemson all over the USA in the past because we are a football brand. That's the reality.

If football loses another 1, 2, or 3 games, nobody will want to watch us, and the "Bandwagon" fans we've been fortunate to pick up will move to the next hot team. We lose the fans, we lose the eyeballs, we lose the fascination of the BIG 10 or SEC to take us in and we will be stuck in the ACC for the near future.

Now, here is an interesting thought as well. If we stay in the ACC, we already know we are going to bring in $20-$25 million less a year than the other programs in the bigger conferences. If the ACC goes to revenue sharing like we want to level the field, what happens if we aren't the premier team of the league? We very well could drop even more revenue because of football and Dabo wanted to cull the fanbase.

More fans means more eyeballs. More eyeballs watching games means more money.

Think about it.

The upstate Greenville TV Market is the 37th largest in the country. Columbia (SCAR SEC) is #77.

I get that it is 37th because it includes Greenville, Anderson, and Sparkle City. Columbia is whatever it is, which is small and maybe they get an advantage because they are in the center of the state so they can pull from Charleston/MB/Florence/Augusta/and even Charlotte so they get a little benefit of grabbing multiple markets. Them being to the closest big college so to speak to Charlotte I assume helps a lot.

The other thing to think of is that they got into the SEC when TV revenue wasn't near as big of deal as it is now. TV drives the revenue and revenue drives the decisions for the AD. IT SUCKS but it is what it is, we just need to turn the ship around fast so we can get the hell out of the ACC and make some $$$.

Is Graham the right guy to steer the ship?

Yes there are ZERO Clemson fans in CLT, MB, Charleston, and Augusta...

If we can’t win in the ACC, then how can we in the SEC?

I think that's an idiotic statement...
