That came after the showings against South Carolina and Tennessee. He deserved all the criticism he got. Defense has played better recently, but that doesn't take away the garbage defense and poor tackling that was obvious to the naked eye after the departure of BV.

sorreh.... the offense or lack thereof is way more to blame than the defense. Porkchop has improved his area.... whereas the offense is still 'a work in progress' three years running. jus sayin...

When you lose games after multiple turnovers and the bad guys still don't get 30 it's hard to put that on defense. Worst defensive game was a win at Wake last year.

he simply gets caught up in the 'hired from within' angst.
Well that and he is a step back from Brent... but I truly think Venables was the best DC in the country and ANYONE would be a step back from him.

I agree , they need get rid of Humpty Dumpty. On defense, We were suppose
To have a better defense then last year. , for this year, I can’t see that this year,
It seem like the other team can run up the middle and get five more yard on first down..
There is something wrong. With the defense.
