I suppose the truth is usually in the middle. I’ll admit

Our basketball team is very capable this year. Capable of winning big and losing big. I am a fan of Clemson basketball and will always be I suspect. I’m not a fan of Brad. There is a difference. Some of you seem to worship Brad to the fault of not appearing to be a fan of Clemson basketball, just Brad. He’s had some great moments this year but some bad ones too. My frustration is that this is year 13 and one of the very few with Brad where I can say it was fun to watch almost every game because we had a chance of winning. I remember being excited about basketball even if we weren’t great under Ellis, Purnell, Barnes. In years past Brads teams have not passed the eye test and even were hard to watch because game after game we were close while we watched Brad ###### defeat out of the jaws of victory. This year was different, this year was fun. But it took the 315th ranked strength of schedule and it took Brad 13 years to have this palatable team. Now I personally think Clemson deserves to be in the NCAAT but I don’t get to vote. Any group of people that would put nc state over us in a tournament deserves to be neutered. We beat them 3 times. And to be honest I think if we make the tournament we could make a run at least until we face teams like Virginia. But it’s all if’s until we make it in.

If we don’t, will JK stand by his statement at the beginning of the year that if we don’t make the tournament he would want to move on from Brad? I suspect not. He will either say he didn’t say it (either a lie or forgetfulness, hopefully the latter) or he will say but its not fair (another loser minded statement).

Again to be fair, this was a fun year to watch and if you can build on it then fine. But my problem is 13th year and still hoping to make it in. If we make it in and make it to sweet 16, doable but certainly not a given, then we won’t fire Brad. But if we don’t make it in, then I’m staying the course with fire Brad.

problems with the Brad Brownell era, especially lately. It is hard to "build on" last year when the personnel just turns over seemingly every year. We won some games this year above the norm, for precisely the reason that we DID have some of the same players returning for a change. But, what would this year have been if Tyson had not taken advantage of that extra COVID year? I suspect it would have been comparatively ugly.

Tyson is gone next year. And, if the recent pattern holds true, we are gonna lose some guys to transfer. If we don't make the Dance, it could be a LOT of guys. If Hall decided to leave, he probably would trigger a mass exodus.

IF,IF,IF

If bullfrogs had wings

I expect coach Brownell to improve this team every year.

I’m betting that he does.
It was easy for me to see that this years team was considerably better than last years team.
Can’t wait for next season

Coming off the 2020-21 tournament team we thought we’d be better the next year. 17-16, 8-12 is what we got.

Thought we would improve after the 2017-18 sweet 16 run. Haven’t won a tournament game since and have been back to the tournament just once.

Clemson doesn't care about basketball....as evidenced by Brown-L getting 14 years.

After 13 years, do you have any evidence that his team is getting better every year?.

You realize it's year 13?

Pretty sure the team has not improved every year since Brownell has been here.

It's been up and down and mostly down.

13 years we’d be much better than we are. So how do you now expect it?

In my work life I would not have been given 13 years to grow the business to an above par level.

Class of ‘71. Went through “rat season” and glad I did.
