It surly can if he refuses to admit to himself that it's not going to work as he thought it would. I mean most of Tiger nation thought that it sounded like a good idea when it was first discussed. And if it would work, it would be the smartest thing that a HC could come up with. Having someone in a position on staff that could take up where a coach left, and be as good, or better than the coach that left. It may work, but those coaches has to be on the field coaches that has plenty of upside, and has gained years of experience behind a successful coordinator that was in that position. I just don't think an analyst, or short time QB coaches is what it will take to be a 1st time successful coordinator on a playoff team....
