Is it that he is barely six feet or his arm strength or lack of ranking?

At a place like App State or Wake Forest.
I saw him live in high school. He did have great skill players around him, Mysun Kelly and Eli Merck. From a passing standpoint Eli Merck made him look great because he could high point the ball. Eli is a walk in at Oklahoma under Venables. Clemson could’ve used him in the boundary.

Daniel is winning state but they aren't the NFL talent Daniel anymore

that time passed . 2005-2010 Lions were peak talent


2018-2023 Daniel is just Clemson coaching influence and lower talent

he is friends and family mostly. The Venables boys were decent players, but mostly people complain because they take a spot on the team.

that said . little Pearman would not be D1 at Clemson if his dad wasn't at Clemson

one could even question why his dad is at Clemson .. but that because he is a Bama boy from dabos life
