are all similar in not taking transfers.

You'd think Texas A&M would be right there with us. They were the only school to have more officers in the war than Clemson.

I think you are right that were were second behind Texas A&M, and probably the military academies, but their enrollment was not real large at the time ..... of course neither was pours. According to what I found TAM had 13,000 officers and we sent 6,475. LSU claims to be in the top 4 with TAM, USMA, and Annapolis, but they only had 5,000 officers ..... a good bit less than us ..... but then again that is SEC math.

During my army career, I was assigned to teach military science at Texas A&M - 3 great years of teaching seniors. Early 60's. It's a great college.

Yep some on here would be probably be fine with joining the Group of 5 with the military schools and the rest of them.

Texas A&M and West Point sent more officers to WW II than Clemson, but only A&M sent more soldiers to that war than Clemson.
