game with his job on the line. If we look bad in our NCAAT game and lose then I actually think Brownell is gone.

That was a truly embarrassing loss. Not just who who lost to, BC looked good. Not just the score, though it is a reflection of our performance. We looked uncoached. We looked like we had no solutions, no direction, no called plays, no gimmicks, no identity. It looked like a bunch of guys playing pickup against a unit of cohesive players.

Brownell's style seems to be like a soccer coach. Put the pieces in place for players to be able to do their thing. But if they play like crap, then there isn't much that Brownell can do. We live and die by the shot, more than other teams. Our defensive effort isn't consistent lately either, which is inexcusable. Our shot discipline is weak. Ball movement is usually inferior.

I was satisfied with keeping Brownell for all this time. I understood that Clemson doesn't really take basketball any more seriously than Brownell's performance. I saw that Clemson's history didn't match higher expectations than what Brownell produced. But having a veteran team look so feckless... so lost.... so helpless, at this stage of the season and this stage of the program, sent a strong message to me as a fan. We probably are due for a new coach. If we go one and done, I will move over from undecided/idifferent about Brad to preferring we replace him.

We never adjusted to what they were doing defensively from the outset and therefore they kept it up for the entire game - very poor coaching on our part! Inexcusable!

I tend to agree, if the team doesn’t make any sort of run in the tournament then this season will be considered a failure with the expectations and potential of the players.
