Offense for next season...

Dec 31, 2022, 9:54 AM

1) Better find a solution to the OL or there will continue to be inconsistencies, but kind of depends on what our offensive identity is
2) Cade needs to get bigger without losing speed, looks like he has the skills to be very good
3) RBs, SHOULD NOT BE Shipley centric, find a way to move Shipley around but Mafah needs to the RB workhorse (i.e. as James Davis was to CJ)
4) TE THROW the ball to the TEs!!!!
5) WRs, Williams, Turner and need someone to step up to be the next Mike Williams...missing piece
6) Make opposing Ds choose their poison rather than adjusting the O to the opposing D each week!!!
7) Find an offensive identity!!!!!

In order to fix 7, we have to get rid of Streeter.

I think we're going to be hurting at TE. Brinningstool

is not a classic TE. More of a tall WR. Unless Ennis steps up I don't see a true TE. If our OL is not tough enough now, will they ever be? The way we open holes for RBs a lot of times, we look ok there but pass blocking needs to get better. Hopefully, in another year, Cade's ability to throw a more catchable ball will make our WRs look better but we still don't have the dominant big guy who outfights the DB for the ball. Right now, I see us as the same team we were this year. We will be most ACC teams but struggle with everybody else. Finally, I'm hoping our young DBs grow up. I cringed every time an opposing QB let go with a long one.
