The play I really think cost Vandy the game

Not only did Rogers force a pass into coverage that A) Took away points for Vandy and B) Turned into points for So Car, but look at how open #80 was if he would've progressed away from the coverage:

I'm assuming this was right before he threw that terrible interception on 3rd and goal?

I thought not going for it on 4th and 3 late in the game

and attempting a 51-yard field goal that the kicker obviously didn't have the leg for cost them dearly and was a huge turning point. If they could have converted that and finished off the drive with a touchdown, that probably would have been too much for S. Car. to overcome. Not sure a 6-point lead (if you make the field goal) does a whole lot for you there anyway.

I agree....thats what i said was the real turning point. SC's D was getting gassed quick and they shoulda kept them on the field. There was just to many breaks and boneheaded plays that gave that game away.

ask if Vandy is a good team, the answer is no. Good teams don't repeatedly make poor decisions and pass up multiple opportunities that are given to them. Good teams take the errors other teams make and make them pay for them.

Yup, there is that or the fact that 3 times Vandy was in FG

range and got a penalty on 3rd down to push them out of FG range. Stupid penalties are 100% on Vandy. 3 different illegal formations? ... not the product of good quality coaching. I don't seem to remember that being Vandy's problem with Bobby Johnson.

failed to capitalize. There was literally a boat load of things Vandy failed to do, but that missed opportunity for that TD kills me!

there. Within the first 2 minutes of the 2nd half, there was no one within 30 yds of the guy streaking down the sideline for their first or second score of that half. Turning point in that game for me....forced us out of the box.

don't have but 2 secs and no way you can see 2 WR's. Vandy's OL and DL were way under sized

but they were definitely better than the Vandy lines of old. Believe they just stole a 4* out from under Richt's nose in Ga.

Second, he still had plenty of time to make a progression to another receiver. Football is a fast game, but he had plenty of time to do it on that play. 3 yds away is not in your face in football terms. I know it all happens in a flash but that's a play a good QB makes with relative ease.
