I understand fans....

....loving their team and hating their rivals. That's one of the things that makes sports so great. The passion of fans is wonderful.
But, even if you are a Gamecock, or a Tar Heel, or a Bulldog, or even a Nole -how can you not appreciate and respect the man Dabo is? His integrity, his character, his work ethic, his leadership ability, his coaching ability - and everything else about him.
Even if you want to beat his football team by 50, you can't help but respect that man. If you are still not sure, just watch this video.

That he is faking every time he appears genuine and is actually a snake oil salesman through and through. Oh and apparently the respect he has from all his former players and coaches is thanks to his con man nature.
Ohio State fans adopted a similar idea in recent years.
Most other fans do respect him.

Very well said, respect your fandom and appreciate the fact you see things as they are and not simply as a rival. That presser was beautiful to watch and hear the words of not only Dabo, but DJ & Mario. Youthful boys turning into grown respectful men is the ultimate goal

Low character people don’t respect anything or anyone. They are broken on the inside and they can’t understand integrity, compassion or ethics. They do however still understand a claw hammer to the forehead.

Agree 100%. Good character can’t be faked. It’s easy to appreciate the coaches who have it. And just as obvious those who don’t.
