I wish there were a way for the ACC to kick the freeloading schools out of the conference. That would solve a lot of problems.

I agree, unless ND pulls the surprise join, and soon, I'd bet by time we go to beat down the mangey dawgs (we can always hope) there will be some sort of exit strategy announced.

Kicking out BC and Syracuse would be a good start, even setting aside the California additions.

Divide the D1-Football Bowl Subdivision (the old D-1A) into two groups. Top 32 are vying for the playoffs. That's it. Everyone else is stuck with the Meineke Car Care Bowl or whatever. The FCS (old D1-AA) would stay the same.
Win and move up.
Lose and get knocked down.
Bye bye Vandy and all the other freeloaders.

ND knows that one playoff appearance in a decade earns them more than getting a conference share every year. ND is well funded and lacking nothing.
