I am guessing Jimbo is toxic and he made a lot of promises he couldn't keep. I would also imagine some of those oil men have pulled back their monies and NIL has taken a hit.

but surely they baked some "fired with cause" caveats into that contract. The sheer amount of turmoil in the program should be enough to stir up one of those reasons.

Just read an article on The Athletic that said his buyout this season is $79 million, too much for A&M to handle even with their large support base.

...from these programs have any inclination that with 5-star talent you also acquire 5-star ego's.

If your program's culture sucks, has a losing record, a lot of ego-driven players and more money than brains, you have Texas A&M....and probably Texas as well.
