What's funny is that Wofford and App State have been known games on this schedule for a long time now, but she apparently just realized it yesterday morning.
Crack journalism I tell you!

Has the dumb bitty not been paying attention for the past decade? Up until this year, we routinely played tougher openers than most other schools in the Power 5.
Her misplaced ignorance is annoying.

Oh well, the answer is to win the natty and then they will erroneously jump on our bandwagon at that point. But we will smile and encourage and defend because it will be us in the limelight.

Please people stop repeating this, Ole Miss did not pull out we did do to the nine game conference schedule. Once they went back to 8 we had to rush to find an opponent.

consistently scheduled 2 SEC/Power 5 OOC games for years:
'08: Bama, USuCk '09: TCU (12-1 that year), USuCk '10: @Auburn (MNC), USuCk '11: Auburn, USuCk '12: Auburn, USuCk '13: UGA, USuCk '14: UGA, USuCk
And then completely ignoring the fact that we had a home-and-home with Ole Miss for this year cancelled when the ACC said we were going to 9 conference games and leaving out the fact that we're playing Notre Dame.
At this point she's either trolling or TERRIBLE at her job.

Bama lost to Utah in the sugar bowl in 2008. They didn't win it all until 2009.

almost anyone.
We play South Carolina every year. They are a big-bad SEC team with an 80k+ seat stadium and a legend for a coach. And it is a rivalry game.
We play ranked Notre Dame.
Over the past few years not only have we of course played a top 10 South Carolina team, but also top 10 Georgia, top 10 Auburn, Texas A&M...the list goes on and on. We don't shy away from tough games.

alma mater, "Indiana".
As if they've had any prominent football success recently or ever.
Heck, just because they finished in teh top 10 in rushing yards this past season doesn't mean they're getting any poll votes for holding Penn State to a mere 13 points at home.
I mean, hey. Bob Knight left for a reason.
