Between the travel back and forth between my houses in the islands, tournament fishing, and literally spending money like a drunken sailor, I wouldn't have the time or the inclination.

Zip to all others. I'd donate about $2 million to our church.
I'd create an irrevocable trust and incorporate an LLC, several, owned by the trust. Those LLC's would be registered to a very good attorney.
In those trusts I'd place different classes of assets to manage as the trustee. Stocks in one, real estate in another, etc. I'd set up the trust to pay me 2% annually, and would ensure the trust can make at least a 2% return annually on investments. I'd be taxed half that for income, then live on the rest for the rest of my life.
####....commuted value is a ##### these days. Thanks inflation. So lump sum is $600mil? Half taxed, so $300mil?
.02x$298M = $6mil a year/2
I'd have roughly an income of $3 million a year to live on. I'm cool with that.
Would lock the trust up too until grandkids anyway. That would give our 3 boys a guaranteed $1 million a year, of which they'd not see a penny until age 25. I'd appoint oldest son to be the next trustee.

I've given this a lot of thought. I'd have a climate-controlled garage built opposite my current garage. By limiting space, it would help me avoid getting carried away. Then I would likely acquire the following:
1. 2019 Porsche 911 Speedster.
2. 2024 Lotus Emira.
3. 2020 Ferrari GT4Lusso (wife's request).
4. 2024 LR Defender 90.
5. 1994-96 Nissan 300ZX Turbo.
6. Classic Vette or a Porsche 356C.
I'd keep my current car, too, because you shouldn't forget where you came from.
Then I'd move on to less important things, like charity.

I would start a non-profit that let's public defenders petition for funding to support putting on a high end defense for folks who have real, legitimate constitutional issues with the way the police treated them.
