I know, if it ain't broke don't fix it. But, Ally has a .524 OB%. She is a prototypical leadoff hitter, and she's able to turn a simple bunt single into a runner in scoring position with her speed on the basepaths. Dropping Clark into the two-hole would then turn her solo leadoff home runs into two-run shots over 50% of the time.

Having your first three hitters above a .500 OB% would just be ridiculous. Now, you'd have to drop Moore to 5th, but I'd like to see that lineup experimented with at some point. Moore is having a fantastic year, but she could still be as productive in the five-hole with her power and extra-base hits.

I seriously doubt Rittman is even thinking of making any changes to the first 5 of the lineup, but he did tinker with the leadoff spot a good bit last year with Sam Russ leading off to begin the year, then back to Clark, and then finally settling on Cammy Pereira in the latter part of the year.

With Miklesh getting on at such a high clip, it's hard not to think the lineup could be even more explosive with her setting the table for the power behind her.
