no rest right out of halftime????... what were they doing? running laps in the locker room?

i can't remember clemson ever winning the toss and deferring to the second half. they'll always take the ball w/ our offense. though, i totally disagree with it. possession of the ball is much more important in the second half than it is in the first.

as deep as we are on the d-line and lb group we need to get our offense on the field and keep our defense off the field as much as possible.

We should not defer the choice but elect to receive.

It is very important to jump on UGA early much like USC did.

We cannot take the risk of letting them strike first and set the tempo.

i agree it's nice to set the tone... but, if you don't score on the opening possession, then it's pointless to receive the opening kick. but, the possession after halftime is very important. if you're winning it's a luxury... you don't really NEED to score at that time, but if you do... then the other team is just down that much more... but, if you're losing at half... you NEED the ball... possession of the ball is like timeouts,... the closer to the end of the game you get, the more important they are.
