If you dare raise issue with any decision made by CDS; the goto SOP & counter: skirt the issue (indefensible position apparently) & leap to the hyperbolic, embellished suggestion that you "obviously want Dabo fired". Plays to the crowd but it reveals they don't clearly understand his rational or explanations either—

What makes you say that?

Coach Venables was actually born in Homestead, FL. From 1989 to 1990, he played linebacker at Garden City Community College before transferring to Kansas State under Bill Snyder from 1991 to 1992. He also coached there form 1993 to 1995.
He was at Oklahoma from 1999 to 2011 working for Stoops until Stoops re-hired his brother as DC. Of course, he was at Clemson from 2012 to 2021.
I'd venture to say that Clemson is just as much home for him as Oklahoma.

Sorry, that's a definite dealbreaker as a potential HC. The lay lines scream: bad MOJO, a conversion between the locals with his appointment here as HC would lead to catastrophic events, possibly apocalyptic—

Brad’s teams definitely score more points per game (and there games are only 40 minutes vs 60 minutes).
But he also gives up a lot more points that our defense.

#1 Coach Venables #2 Dan Lanning
I would make them say no in that order. If they did I would then want to interview a couple of candidates. Kalen DeBoer comes to mind right away as well as a few others.

With the ACC in limbo, and all its members for that matter, I'm afraid Clemson would be a tough sell for any recognizable, national name, unless Riley would be elevated/promoted. Lanning isn't coming. Oregon can match any offer he gets. BV isn't coming. Oklahoma has deep pockets, too.
I would call Brian Hartline to see if he's interested. He's a strong recruiter. He's been plugging 5 star WRs into Ohio State's offense for years now. After that, it might be a long slide down the wish list. The ACC predicament would hamstring a coaching search. Coaches are going to be looking to land a job at an SEC or Big 10 school where there is a sense of stability and control. If this were 2025 conferences and 12 team playoffs, those 2 conferences would likely have all 7 of the at large teams. Texas, OU, Bama, UGA, Michigan, Ohio State, Oregon, Washington, Penn State, that's 9 teams and 2 of them would be in as champs.

I know the offense has been somewhat underwhelming so far, but Riley is a future head coach. Also, seems to be a good recruiter as well.
