that im hearing is that he may not be here but a couple of years and then go for a HC job.
That's a win for us because obviously he's shown off his talent to build QB and Air Raid offenses with his time here.
Secondly, what if he's 5th paid Coordinator, because Dabo intends to constantly grow him. What if that old turd Saban hangs it up in (2) years...would Dabo not be on the top of the call list?
Perhaps Dabo is looking towards the future, and wanting to make sure we would be left in competent hands.
I don't want Dabo to go by anymeans, EVER. But as much as he cares about Clemson, he's not going to consciously leave it in a bad place.
It's just a hypothetical, so don't get your thong in a twist...just curious to see what people think if that was a scenario.

There's this legendary coach at the University of Alabama who uses the same formula........seems to work pretty well for him.

Summer vacations with Saban may have convinced Dabo to give it a try again. ?
Two and possibly three years at Clemson by Riley is about is the norm. Chad Morris set the foundation over 4 seasons between 2011 - 2014 that lead to 2 NCs. Now over the last 3 or so years, things have gotten stale. Also, because of the portal, schools have been squeezing the talent gap. It was time for a reset.
Just think Morris was almost gone from Clemson after the 2012 season (2 years) and came up just short at getting the Texas Tech HC job.

possibly another title, then takes a head coaching job making him multi millions....Do you then think there might be another young lion that would want to jump on board? I do. Heck, Saban has to deal with that stuff almost every year. I am not saying we are on that level yet, but this could do it...

Thanks Spud for the one intelligent response to a hypothetical query for the sake of civilized discussion.
And by virtue of the responses, it can be concluded that tiger_swimmer®, clemson80tiger® , and whoever the F Spidey91868 all wear thongs. No judgement on clothing, i do too. But I warned them not to get it it in a twist.

and probably can’t fix all our issues. Big gap to close between us and UGA right now. Don’t think it can happen in 2 years in this new NIL/transfer environment. Let’s give it our best shot though!
