I don't think anyone from the mange is qualified to play football and none of us are smart enough to get score high enough on the ACT. HTH

He wasn't as quick as you would like your LBs, he couldn't cover anyone on passing plays to save his life and wasn't that good at shedding blocks. He was a hard hitter and a hard worker but with the talent we are bringing in, it would of been very hard for him to see significant playing time.

Goodson's playing time will increase significantly this year. He knows his assignments and is usually always in the right place to make a play, hence you labeling him as a hard hitter.

Are we watching the same person ? Goodson will be passed up by the young guys bank on it . No I said he was a hard hitter because he is nothing to do with being in the right place .

not saying he has been 100%, but I would be surprised if he does not start all of next year (barring injury). If he does get passed up, it will be due to great performance from one of the young guys.

Yes he did not read it right and went to his left for some reason then came back right and got blocked . No instinct

Only citing one example from the first game of the year when 2 integral players on our defense were suspended against the best back we've played in a while doesn't prove anything. He's no where near a liability and will probably log more snaps than anyone other than boulware this year at linebacker.

a schollie. If Andy Teasdall is the starting punter, he deserves one. If Schuessler is the backup QB, he deserves one. CJ Davidson deserves one. That's 85 if nothing else changes.

Schuessler, Davidson, and Teasdall ....
Feb 9, 2015, 2:05 PM

have all walked-on. Schuessler and Davidson got schollies last year because they earned it. Teasdall projects to be the starting punter this year. If you count those guys, we were at 86. Assuming Jones is done, that is 85. Something else has to happen before we have an opening.

Just never translated to the field. Seems like a good guy but every time he came in teams ran right at him (with success). At least his departure came at a position where we're ok on numbers. I've heard the staff thinks they've hit on a number of departures that haven't even seen the field yet. Pound for pound, Kendall joseph may be the strongest player on the team now
