If only Trevor wasn't so good and hyped

Dec 7, 2021, 1:39 PM

He might have gotten drafted later and ended up with the Patriots or another good team.

It's always struck me as kind of funny how the "best player in the draft" - the number one pick - ends up with the worst possible team. It's almost like a punishment. "Congratulations! You're the #1 pick in the draft! Because you've obviously excelled in college and won championships and set records all over the place - those days are done! You'll make millions, but you'll never see another championship and be lucky to even break .500!"

I thought the same thing. Trevor’s numbers would have been off the charts if he went to the Pats. I don’t understand why NFL teams waste a number one pick on a franchise QB when they have a trash OL. It looks like you should spend a couple years drafting the best OL you can get and then go after a QB.

The o-line comment sounds logical, but statistically teams who win the Super Bowl have franchise QBs. The only exceptions over the past 20 years are Baltimore (2000 - Trent Dilfer) and Philly with Nick Foles.

Unless Jacksonville fires their GM, co-offensive coordinators, and take a HUGE step forward in the offseason...we're looking at a 3 year re-build. I really hate it for Trevor because the Jags are abysmal. It's painful to watch, seriously.

This just shows that no matter how good a QB is.......

he's got to have good receivers on the other end of a pass and a line that can protect him. TL can't do it by himself. I just hope this season doesn't wreck his confidence.

At least he's not with the Detroit Lions. That's the worst place for a good QB to be. At least TL is living in a good town/area.

That's why he gets paid ridiculous amounts of money***

Jax had to take Trevor.

Biggest thing since Luck. If Ajax traded down they would have been ridiculed.

Clock is ticking on rookie contract so as others have pointed out….get the support cast before it is too late.

He wouldn’t have left early.
We woulda made the playoff this year.
And Coach V would still be around.

It’s all Trevor’s fault.
