about a high profile player hitting the portal today, I believe there are currently 3 candidates (ranked in order of most to least probability).
1.) Jake Brinningstool
2.) Andrew Mukuba
3.) Phil Mafah
1 and 3 could potentially be hitting the portal as they are disgruntled with the Clemson offense and their lack of usage within the system. Both are bonafide starters at other programs so I wouldn't put it past them to drop their name in the hat.
2 is interesting due to a complete clearing of Clemson affiliation from his twitter bio. He is a starter at Clemson, so I really would be interested to know his reasoning behind entering the portal.
At the end of the day I think we all hope the rumor is indeed just a rumor. I would hate to see any starters from the team this year enter the portal.
Also, interested to see how this new TD feature works.

potential to totally torpedo our program, and that would be Cade Klubnick. Knowing that he is the starter coming into next season, you would think there is no reason on earth he would tranafer. You forget about the outside influence of NIL. If the Grants keep adding up, at some point, the money could talk.

Yea fairly certain CK is safe unless he realized that he will not be able to survive the hits he was enduring Fri night. QB Jersey should never look that bad.

You are absolutely correct 76er, when the money gets big enough, it can buy about anything the people spending it wants to buy, and that is just about anything, and Cade wouldn't be someone that would turn his back on a big enough $ sign!!!

I agree with your possible reasons for Mafah or Briningstool leaving.
For Mukuba, if he leaves, it could be due to the fact that he was forced due to injuries to play CB a lot when Safety is his best position and the position that he has the best chance to play at the pro level.

All this sounds like is your opinion based on not one fact.
Clemson threw to the TE's more last year than they have since 16 was in uniform.
If Mafah leaves it is to a lesser team where he wants more reps. Ship is better.
Mukuba started as a freshman and sophomore. What is your explanation for him leaving? He got worse this year and maybe it was injuries, but where is he going to go?

Shipley is not better than Mafah, they are both equally good. Mafah is the type of RB that can wear defenses down and our OC barely gave him the ball.
