… so I would fix one.

I call it pussyfooting … I would stop the pussyfooting.

When the QB attempts to pull the ball away from a back (and a fumble happens), that’s pussyfooting. Just hand the ball off.

When the QB goes beyond the “1, 2, 3, Throw” dictum, that’s pussyfooting.

When you run the middle for 70 yards then try ANYTHING else close to the goal, that’s pussyfooting.

So I say fix the pussyfooting … do this by playing smash mouth a few games. Then - and only then - it is acceptable to attempt “cute” plays.
