If we had no injuries to any starters on Offense this fall

First, that would be a miracle.
Secondly, that would mean we would have all WR's available for the first time in 3-4 years I think. With that, would we see improvement in WR play? Obviously you would say the answer is yes.
Right?
However, thinking more into this, outside Antonio Williams and Jake Briningstool, do we really have anyone who going to separate themselves from the product we've seen the last 3 years? What you might call Elite... I don't think so.
Said differently, I think (if healthy) we could be good, but we still don't have the WR pieces to be great.

I am holding out hope that the WR look more capable when the QB can hit them in stride and they don't have to stop and wait on the ball. Several times in the last 2 seasons it appeared to me that the receiver was just going through the motions of the route anticipating DJU would sail it into the crowd or skip it across the turf.

Looking at what most people think will be the first team, it feels like this group has good potential.
First Team WR (X) - Adam Randall (So) WR (Z) - Beaux Collins (Jr) WR (Slot) - Antonio Williams (So) TE - Jake Briningstool (Jr)
Second Team WR (X) - Troy Stellato (Rs So) or Noble Johnson (Fr) WR (Z) - Cole Turner (Rs Fr) or Ronan Hanafin (Fr) WR (Slot) - Brannon Spector (Rs Sr) or Will Taylor (Jr) TE - Sage Ennis or Josh Sapp
Last year we had 21 people catch a pass. 8 people either graduated or transferred including the 2, 3 & #10 receivers (w/ regard to yardage). I know we have freshman and walk ons, but I'd be happy if no more than 15-17 player record a catch.
I'd like to hope our 1's and 2's stay healthy and get most of the snaps this season and lord knows the 1s an 2s need experience.

I think that could be a deceptive metric if you consider

the score given we never run it up, therefore play a lot of players.

Very true, if we're good.

But we haven't been good.
We've been young, inexperienced and injured for 2-3 years.
My hope is 1) we get past the injuries, and 2) spend more time playing the future best players this year through more snaps. I'm over seeing Daniel High School out there getting as many snaps as 2nd string guys when it obvious the 2nd string players need more experience.

How many games over the last 2 years was running it up an option? It came down to the last drive more often than not against P5 competition.

One thing I forgot to mention

The second string is shaky at best as a unit.
Cole Turner might be the best in that group this year, and the experience starts dropping off quick...a whole bunch of Fr or guys have been injured and missed more games than catches that they have.
As I mentioned in another post, after the first team, these players are going to HAVE to get real game experience throughout the season, even if it's at the experience of typical 3rd string guy's reps.

I believe we should be very concerned

about our wide receivers. We just don't have high level talent at the position anymore, and haven't shown a recent track record of developing talent at the position.
2023 recruits: -Noble Johnson is a 4 star, but ranked the 56th best wide receiver in his class according to 247Sports. -Tyler Brown is a 3 star, ranked the 105th best receiver in his class.
Expecting much from either Johnson or Brown based on their recruiting profile is asking a lot.
2022 recruits: -Antonio Williams is a 4 star, ranked the 9th best receiver in his class. He had a good freshman season, but doesn't seem to be an elite receiver. That's not good, since he seems to be our best receiver. -Adam Randall is a 4 star, ranked the 17th best receiver in his class. He is one of those guys Dabo raves about, sort of like he did Ajou Ajou and others along the way, but he has dealt with injuries and hasn't made significant contributions when he has played. -Cole Turner is a 3 star, ranked the 180th best receiver in his class. Another one that gets rave reviews, but doesn't feel like an elite go-to receiver. The hope here is that he was under-recruited and is a diamond in the rough.
If our WR corps is going to take a step forward this year, it will likely be because of this 2022 class.
2021 recruits: -Beaux Collins is a 4 star, ranked the 12th best receiver in his class. He has dealt with injuries as well, playing in 9 games as a freshman and 8 last year as a sophomore. He has been solid but not spectacular. He or Randall need to improve a lot to be the second WR threat we desire. -Troy Stellato is a 4 star, ranked the 30th best receiver in his class. He has been injured most of his career. It's great that he's an all-world athlete, but he can't help us if he's always injured. -Dacari Collins is a 4 star, ranked the 32nd best receiver in his class. He did not do much for us, and transferred and is now at NC State. -Will Taylor is a 3 star, ranked the 90th best athlete in his class (not ranked as a receiver). He is a great athlete but hasn't contributed much on the football field due to injuries.
Beaux Collins seems to be the leading candidate from this class to make a jump this year, but again, expecting a significant improvement from the last two years is asking a lot.
2020 recruits: -EJ Williams is a 4 star, ranked the 13th best receiver in his class. He had some flashes with us, but transferred and is now at Indiana. -Ajou Ajou is a 3 star, ranked the 66th best receiver in his class. He contributed sparingly and also dealt with injuries. He is now at South Florida.
This class can't help us, because they are no longer here.
So we've had a mix of heralded recruits who haven't panned out, injuries (some significant) to multiple players, and a general lack of production from this unit overall.
I don't see any elite receivers on this team. Solid contributors? Sure, but not the elite type of receiver who helped elevate our program to new heights in the past.
Expecting Klubnik or any other QB to make this an elite unit is illogical, so we shouldn't expect that either.

Thorough analysis, thanks for the time to put that together Judge.
One thing I disagree on, not to pick bones, is Antonio Williams. If we can get him moving/receiving in the slot like HR13 I think he very well can be considered 'elite'.
Also like that that that that the tight-end play calling has picked up.

Agree on the Antonio Williams point. Freshman all-American should already be considered elite.

I'm thinking Randall could be good for us. He was out all last year so who knows. We also haven't seen Beaux Collins with a reliable passer at the helm. I think of the veteran guys on the roster Collins still has a chance to be really good!

Adam Randall & Beaux Collins are going to incredible this season. Adam is a special WR that never got to show his real speed & power!
Williams and our TE’s will be amazing along with our secret weapon Ship happens all over the place!
Our offense will get better every week! We won’t show everything until needed, especially the counter TREY plays!
Hopefully we win the ACC Championship, state Championship & National Championship!
