Im angry at Kirby and UGA

Yes, I'll be the one to be outspoken about this. No matter what anyone attempts to take from this post, I am not blaming the tragic deaths of the 2 young people that recently happened. It's simply an expression of disappointment regarding the control over very vulnerable young people within an institution that is getting big time money right now.
It also needs to be said that Clemson has not always had "perfect" students and general people involved, and that's why this post also has nothing to do with comparing football programs based on behavior of those involved.
Kirby and those in charge at Georgia apparently should be paying more attention to the consequences of the recruiting style they use, the methods of distributing NIL money, and the most important one; developing these young teenagers into young men.
These students at 18 years old for the most part have not matured yet. They cannot be expected to just not be emotionally affected by this NIL culture and money from it. I just think it should be made more aware of how to better handle such a program in the position that they are. That way, none of this would happen. At the age college students are, their decisions are often accounted for by those who lead them (like parents and coaches).

I'm not saying it isn't, but how exactly have you decided that NIL money is responsible for what happened?

I never stated NIL was the only thing responsible.
The other things responsible that I stated were recruiting style and their development of their young student athletes. Both of which are immensely impacted by how much NIL money there is. With more money comes more required attention for how to control it and everyone who benefits from it.
It makes me angry because even with higher amounts of money, those in charge of the young people could still put in more effort.
This is more based on their arrests of late, with Thomas and Carter. The car accident is a tragedy.
And as well, Georgia is one of the top programs in NIL usage, so that back s it all up.

So tell us how the recruiting style lead to the accident. The tell us, with some specificity, how the distribution of NIL money lead to the accident. Explain how a better distribution of the money would have likely prevented the accident.

NIL money and its culture is undoubtedly increasing at Georgia.
With that, like I already said, leads to more needed attention on how the players are behaving, spending their money, and so forth. There are more guidelines needed to control how much money players receive. Which also affects what they are able to do with their money.
I never said NIL was fully responsible nor ever lead to the accident. It’s impossible to convict an entity like NIL as the purpose of a death. But with the recent arrests it shows that there is a real cause and effect of what’s going on within that program. Like recruiting style, such as guaranteeing loads of money and out of pocket benefits that basically give them what NFL money could get them at a smaller scale.
And for future prevention, more attention and accountability can be put on student athletes. By setting more rules and expectations.
And I’m sure Kirby and everybody around the nation are now more aware of this higher need of regulation.

Tragically, people in this country die every day. Sometimes because they are acting recklessly. Most of the people who die in this country while acting recklessly aren't receiving NIL money, nor do they have a relationship with Kirby Smart. What do you blame for their death?

Agreed - the primary blame lies with the driver but secondary blame lies with Carter and Dumas Johnson and who knows what other UGA players who might eventually be implicated in this merry little jaunt from a strip joint to a Waffle House at 2am in the morning.
All that being said, the use of young women, albeit she was an adult in this case, as a babysitter or "handler" to these players does come into question. How can she think, again as a UGA employee, that it was OK to accompany them to a strip joint, get drunk with them, pile them in her UGA leased vehicle and race another UGA player or players? Willing to be that this wasnt the first time this has happened in Athens. What culture or attitude exists at UGA that would ever make that OK - with her or any other employee. The existence of a "get out of jail" Coach that showed up early on tells us a lot about what most likely goes with that program.
Winning is important thats for sure. Dont think this story is over by any means but we shall see.

You are not going to solve problem if people do not see a problem. Thus they continue.

Its incredibly sad what happened...

and it was stupid thing for Carter and his teammate to participate in...especially considering their NFL future.....but not sure you can tag it to UGA's culture of NIL, recruiting and character development. Its probably fair to say they aren't trying to mentor a bunch of future pastors but alot of dumb activities take place everywhere...its just that others dont wreck or get caught. Carter's car and everyone in it should have used better judgement than allow an extremely intoxicated kid to race them down the city streets....but that other kid chose to drive drunk and go 100+ mph as well. Any responsible person could see it coming from miles away but thats not the point.
I dont think its fair to tag this all on Kirby and the 'culture' he created at Georgia.

That's a bunch of nonsense, nobody forced the kid to race and drive wrecklessly. Ultimately the driver is responsible for his own death

The administration in the athletic department arranged all this so they did not have to deal with the athletes.

Kirby has one goal - win the national championship and doesn't give a #### about rules, money, etc as long as they keep winning

I never said this, just implied there should be more awareness out to it. But I can’t disregard that as a possibility.
