I'm dead serious when I say this

Sep 21, 2014, 12:02 AM

Chad Morris has been exposed. Yes, we blow out inferior teams, but his play calling has cost us A LOT of big games against quality opponents.

The players got robbed tonight. They played their hearts out and coaching led them to defeat. Sad.

Yea, this one is definitely on Morris' sorry ### play callin***

He called a fumble play?

Sep 21, 2014, 12:04 AM

Regardless of the game, we had it wrapped up until Davidson fumbled.

Period. He doesn't fumble we win the game.

We were going to find a way to lose no matter what.***

Did you watch the game? How can you possibly think

Sep 21, 2014, 12:06 AM [ in reply to He called a fumble play? ]

we are going to score there? TD - ugh no. FG - uh think again.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

You are right. BUT.....we should've never been in that

Sep 21, 2014, 12:07 AM [ in reply to He called a fumble play? ]

position. Morris calls the game like he has some sense and we win by 3 scores! Morris thinks he has to dazzle everyone!!!! I like inventive play calling!!! But for God sake!!! be smart!!!

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

If we aren't in shotgun formation

Sep 21, 2014, 12:10 AM [ in reply to He called a fumble play? ]

we probably don't lose 20 yards on a bad snap from the half foot line and don't even have to kick it and we are up 24-10.

Its just not a "nut up physical" style. And sometimes football is as basic as being better than the man in front of you.

When he should have had DJ in there he didn't my friend and that is coaching plain and simple.

Only if we had scored a TD and didn't have to rely on our short yardage game to punch it in.

If we were stopped and forced to kick a FG I highly doubt we would have made it.

2 missed FG, and a fumble***

well the TD we had that our coahing staff decided

Sep 21, 2014, 12:07 AM

not to challenge was horsehit as well

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

his scheme is a gimmick and we can't pick up a yard when we

Sep 21, 2014, 12:05 AM

need it. This isn't news. It's been the case for quite some time.

Re: his scheme is a gimmick and we can't pick up a yard when we

Sep 21, 2014, 12:27 PM

Totally agree...........
But some things work well and we never return to them.
1 play last night we ran a little counter like zone read for 6 to 7 yards with the QB sliding down, why not return to that weakness (their defensive speed causing over pursuit) and exploit it.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Defenses are seeing the root play through his motions

Sep 21, 2014, 12:05 AM

especially late in the game.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

lol, that's been the case since day 1. All that motion does

Sep 21, 2014, 12:09 AM

is bring an extra db into the play and take away a blocker.

2024 orange level memberbadge-donor-10yr.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

We've reached Morris' ceiling

Sep 21, 2014, 12:06 AM

He was perfect at the time, but we've topped out with him.

Settle in on a RB so that we know what horse to ride and perhaps you get in a groove and don't have that fumble.

Have options other than a shotgun and freaking nut up sometimes.

Its not necissarily his playcalling, but his general philosophy of football.

Well said and I AGREE

Re: We've reached Morris' ceiling

Sep 21, 2014, 12:52 PM

As soon as they solidify the running game as in who will always be the starter we won't have this issue. Pick one and go with it.. we went threw 4 running backs last night.. Choice was the best of those 4. let the man start.

#### right

Sep 21, 2014, 12:13 AM

Morris is a coward

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Re: I'm dead serious when I say this

Sep 21, 2014, 12:13 AM

Yep Morris missed 2 fgs, threw it in the dirt, snapped it over the qbs head, then fumbled. He made some bad calls but he didn't lose it the players did.

badge-donor-10yr.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

For such a offensive genius...

Sep 21, 2014, 12:21 AM

Has he never heard of an I-formation? Or a qb sneak? I'll even take that wacky wildcat over that 4th down call. You need a fricking yd. And down at the half yd the other time. Shotgun ain't always the answer, Einstein.

Sep 21, 2014, 12:29 PM

What ever happened to the quick screen game? Do we not have the wr's to execute? I do believe Morris has been figured out a little,we finally get a defense to win us games but the offense lack of execution/playcalling has caused us again

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

we dont have a playmaker anymore

Sep 21, 2014, 12:54 PM

humphries does not cut it

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

You are 100% correct.

Sep 21, 2014, 12:29 PM

Morris is weak and scared in big games. Sad but true.
