My Thanksgiving thoughts as this afternoon wanes ….

The mrs and I went thru all the frightening parts of children growing of age; those evenings when our teenage boys were out with friends, hoping and praying that they were always hanging with the “good crowd”. They were difficult times, the phone call at 12:30 am of a car accident, but finding out all were ok and alcohol was not involved, the parents of a girlfriend who made a scene that our son was not respectful (learned soon after that the girl was a B). College years were difficult in other ways being separated and counting on them to spend enough time on the academics while enjoying the more fun aspects of matriculating… Even after graduating and going into the work world, would their choices be wise and their efforts rewarded. We find that we have been so fortunate that both sons have made their own ways in life and are prospering in family and careers. Sorta like Clemson in its yearly pursuit of the CFP, they have managed to control their destinies in ways I have come to admire….
Much to be thankful for.

As I think about tomorrow

I've tied on my new jerk bait. Hoping the reason for reduced number of catches on the old jerk bait is related to some sort of malfunction and the new one will result in more catches.
I think I will be ok with 10 lb mono on the crankbait if they aren't hitting the jerkbait, certainly I will be throwing the Frittside in the creeks.
I have a texas rig finesse worm tied on. The larger fish like to hug the bank and take their time / won't chase the crank. Should be able to pick a few up with that.
In the event we find them feeding in open water, I went ahead and tied on the A-rig. It could be a bust and it could be a difference maker. If the fish are in the open, should work well.
Also, I've got 2 ned rigs on deck for open water feeding fish. 1/10 for deep water and 1/15 for the slower fall / shallower water. I hope I'm not overlooking anything. The goal is 50+ fish. I think it's doable.
Lots to be thankful for Beng, thankful to be in the USA. Tons of peoples out there just hoping to make it to tomorrow and not much hope.

My kids attribute all their success to their Mom’s upbringing and genetics.

Yet they drink my bourbon, wine and beer on Holiday celebrations and then give me a hard time.
What I do wrong?

I can never remember what happens with my Thursday trash pickup on Thanksgiving. Some holidays they go ahead and pick up; some they push my pickup till Friday. I better call.

than ever. I walked over to pick up lunch across the street and was really thankful for such good weather, friends and family.
You guys are the best, and 3timeTiger too.

about family (including pets), and everything else is just "stuff". I mean, I have really loved Clemson football (and basketball), good music, good beer, golf, great freinds and neighbors, and my amazing career as a pron star, but at the end of the day, I'm thankful for all of it, but none of it means much now without my wife and daughters and dogs and cats and bird.
