Apparently, Furman didn't release the exact amount. Maybe a new contract was in the works?

Private schools are not required to release that information

The salary for Brad Brownell is not correct in this article. His salary for 2022 was $2,603,000, which puts him up with the other ACC coaches like Leonard Hamilton.

His salary puts him 47th on this list. Behind Kevin Keets of NCSU and ahead of Mike Anderson of St. John’s.

I hate stories that use this data. It’s complete bs. Brownell hasn’t made less than $2 million since before 2018. He’s gonna make over $3 million this year with bonuses. These reports are non-standardized. Every athletic department accounts for these things differently. What might come out of a general fund at one school may be split pro rata between different programs at another. Capital improvements and buildings aren’t gonna fall into the budgets being reported here. Other than coaches salaries - which clearly are inaccurate - they’re completely useless. And since they can’t get that right, I guess that makes them useless in total. Clemson spends plenty on basketball. If we had a good coach he might want more for specific things. Unfortunately l, we don’t. And he’s grossly overpaid on return. Mark Few makes over a million less and is happy to do it.

I once worked as part of the investigation into the 3rd largest fraud on the London Stock Exchange.

This is correct. Neff would sorely love for you not to know how much Brownell makes.
